The tikok ban

I never really was one for speaking out too much, but I do speak out about things I am passionate about. I worked really hard to gain enough followers on TikTok to go live, then I worked really hard to gain enough to monetize off the TikTok shop, which is where I make the most money. I was about to hit the creator fund, but I fell back once January hit, knowing that TikTok would probably no longer be around.
What the future holds
Like many other creators who have to figure out what our next steps are, I have been doing a lot of thinking about what's next for me. I have my photography, but I need more for my own creativity purposes. I have a rather large following on Facebook, not nearly as large as TikTok though, and I did not have to work too hard for it. However, I am able to make more off Facebook due to their monetization policies and how you can monetize; you have many more options. So in reality, that's probably where I'll be leading my followers and focus too, but also thinking of dipping my toes more into Instagram. I have a personal and I have a business one, and I think I would make my personal one public for monetization purposes and a following. And yes, I am already monetizing off of it, I just never could get into Instagram. So that's where I am at with that.
Who really is the enemy though?
As far as my personal opinion on the ban, I think it's a bunch of BS. There are plenty of Chinese-owned apps that are not getting shut down. It makes no sense to me to shut this down, as so many creators depend on this for money and as a collective space for everyone. We have met so many friends and people just like us. I love it for that fact. I feel like TikTok did a good job at proving they are not the enemy here. The United States has been steering away from freedom for years. The United States has recently banned any American investors from buying it, making it impossible to keep as a platform for this country.
What are we fighting for?
My son fights for the rights of this country on the front lines. I need to worry every day for him to fight for stuff that's just being taken away, so in reality, what are we even fighting for anymore? I hate risking our military service members' lives for rights that are just being ripped from us.
Anyways, that's where I stand with it. I will link my Facebook and Instagram here!
love you all
